Our Core Beliefs
- THE SCRIPTURES -- We believe that both the Old and New Testaments are verbally and supernaturally inspired, so that, in the original form they are without error. (II Tim 3:l6-l7; II Pet l:l9-21; Pro 30:5-6)
- THE TRUE GOD-- We believe God to be eternally self-existent, omnipotent: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, yet one God. (Ex 20:2-3; I Cor 8:6; Rev 4:ll; l Jn 5:7)
- GOD THE SON -- We believe that Jesus Christ as a man was begotten by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary and lived a sinless life and proved that He was true God and true man, God manifest in the flesh. (Jn l:l-2; Jn 5:20; Mt l:20; Lk l:26-38)
- GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT -- We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine Person, equal with God the Father and with God the Son, and of the same nature; that He was active in the creation; and that He is the administrator of the things of God upon the earth during this age; and that He baptized those who believe unto salvation into the body of Christ, which is the Church; regenerating, sealing, anointing, and indwelling them that He might fill and endue for worship, for prayer and for service, and that He is restraining the "Mystery of iniquity in the world until He be taken out of the way." (Jn l4:l6,l7; Mt 28:l9; Heb 9:l4; Jn l4:26; Lk l:35; Gen l:l-3; Jn l6:8-ll; Acts 5:30-32; Jn 3:5-6; Eph l:l3-l4; Mk l:8; Jn l:33; Acts ll:l6; Lk 24:49; Rom 8:l4,l6,26,27; II Thes 2:6)
- SATAN -- We believe that Satan is a real spirit personality, that he is the god of the present age, the prince of the powers of darkness and that he is destined to eternal confinement in the lake of fire. (Eph 2:3; Eph 6:ll-l2; Mt 4:l-3; II Cor4:4; Rev 20:l0)
- CREATION AND FALL OF MAN -- We accept literally the Genesis account of creation and believe that man came by direct creation of God and not by evolution. (Gen l:2; Col l:l6-l7; Jn l:3) We believe that man was created in innocence by God and that by voluntary transgression he fell from his sinless and happy state, and as a consequence all mankind are now sinners under condemnation until redeemed and cleansed through the provision of the blood of Christ. (Gen 3:l-6; Rom 5:l0-l9; l:l8-32)
- CHRIST THE ONLY SAVIOR -- We believe that all who have reached the years of accountability are lost until "born again" and "saved by grace through faith" in the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ, and are kept by the advocating high priestly ministry of Christ our Saviour. (Jn 3:3-21; I Pet l:5; I Jn 2:l-2; Heb 4:l4-l6).
- THE SECURITY OF THE SAINTS -- We believe that all who are truly born again are kept by God the Father for Jesus Christ. (Phil l:6; Jn l0:28,29; Rom 8:35-39; Jd l:l).
- THE ONLY GOSPEL -- We believe that the Gospel is limited to the truths of how "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures" and that He ascended up to the Father until He comes again. (l Cor l5:l-4; l Pet 2:24; Lk 24:34-35; Acts l:l0-ll).
